After our short summer break, we’re diving right back into our program. We kick things off on Monday with “No Land for Nobody” at the Arte Summer Cinema!

On Monday evening at 8:45 p.m., in collaboration with Yorck Cinemas, we’ll be screening the documentary “Kein Land für Niemand” at the Kulturforum on Potsdamer Platz.

Ten years after the “Summer of Migration,” the documentary looks back at the moment when Germany—a country of immigration—joined the rest of Europe in deciding to limit migration and subject it to ever-stricter restrictions.

In doing so, the documentary explores the frightening reality faced by refugees, the historic shift to the right in German immigration policy, and a societal narrative that is increasingly directed against migrants and those seeking protection.
