Northern Greece Campaign 2024 Recap

As part of our annual winter aid campaign in Northern Greece, we worked with six partner organizations this year - five in Thessaloniki and one in Kavala. Together, we distributed €14,000 in material aid and direct financial support to people in need. For the community center in Kavala, we provided not only 10,000 diapers and 3,000 sanitary pads. To enhance our partners' operational capabilities, we were able to provide a professional office printer. A significant portion of our efforts focused on preparing vulnerable populations for winter conditions, especially people on the move, who are stranded in thousands in northern Greece due to the current bureaucratic hurdles. 

This included the distribution of essential winter clothing such as winter jackets, trousers, gloves, and winter hats. Also with our partners, we tried to provide the financial and material necessities for them to continue their essential services including legal consultation, medical care, food security assistance, and winter clothing distribution.
